Warning: Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension of service without refund and, in severe cases, legal action under the IT Act, 2000.

1. Prohibited Activities

The ViberNet network must not be used for any activity that violates local, state, or federal laws. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Spamming: Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spam) or commercial messages.
  • Hacking: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any other computer system, network, or data.
  • Phishing: Hosting fraudulent sites to steal user credentials.
  • Copyright Infringement: Distributing pirated movies, software, or music via BitTorrent or other P2P networks.

2. Network Security

Subscribers are responsible for the security of their own devices.

Wi-Fi Security

You must secure your Wi-Fi with a strong password. You are liable for any illegal activity traced back to your IP address.

Malware

If your device is infected and floods our network (DDoS), we reserve the right to quarantine your connection immediately.

3. Commercial Use & Reselling

Residential plans (Home Fiber) are strictly for personal, non-commercial use.

  • No Reselling: You cannot extend your LAN cable to a neighbor and charge them for access.
  • No Public Hotspots: You cannot run a public Wi-Fi cafe using a residential connection.
  • Servers: Running high-traffic public servers (web/mail) on residential dynamic IPs is prohibited. Please upgrade to a Static IP Business Plan for this.

4. Monitoring & Enforcement

ViberNet reserves the right to monitor bandwidth usage patterns to ensure network integrity. We do not monitor content, but we inspect traffic volume and protocol types if network abuse is suspected.

Reporting Abuse: If you notice an IP address belonging to ViberNet attacking your network, please report it to abuse@vibernet.in with logs.
